It’s been reported multiple times that the Los Angeles Lakers are simply asking too much in their trade requests for Pau Gasol.
Leaks hinted the Lakers asked the Cleveland Cavaliers for Dion Waiters and/or draft picks in exchange for Gasol back in January, a deal that fell through when the Cavaliers traded multiple first round picks to the Chicago Bulls for Luol Deng.
Then late last week rumors broke suggesting the Phoenix Suns and Lakers were in talks regarding Pau Gasol, but that deal has apparently fallen through as well as the Suns feel the Lakers price tag is too steep.
Los Angeles, attempting to secure themselves an additional lottery pick for the 2014 NBA Draft has been unable to find any team willing to give up such a possession in exchange for Gaol.
The Lakers are holding out hope on landing a lottery pick in this year’s draft for big man Pau Gasol, but there have been no takers.
Of course, as the upcoming NBA trade deadline nears, it’s possible a team will get desperate and make such a move but it doesn’t appear likely as of right now.
