NBA Rumors: Spurs interested in Evan Turner trade?

The Philadelphia 76ers are more than open to trading Evan Turner – this much we know. Of course, their reported price tag has been a lottery pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

That’s obviously an unrealistic asking price and something the Sixers will not be receiving, but that hasn’t stopped a multitude of teams from inquiring about the former Ohio State product. That list allegedly includes the San Antonio Spurs (among others) according to USA Today as a rival NBA executive noted San Antonio’s interest.

One rival executive mentioned the San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Bobcats as possible destinations via trade, though both teams could also wait until the offseason to see if they could simply sign him then.

The Spurs have been known to turn players around who’ve struggled to achieve the type of success they should, so it would certainly be interested to see what Turner could do on that roster.

There’s no mention of what San Antonio would be offering in exchange for the young forward, though, unless the Spurs are willing to part with Danny Green it seems the two may struggle to find a middle ground.
