The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching, which means that teams are starting to hammer out their strategies when it comes to who will be up for sale and who will be bought and traded for. One of the teams actively involved in trade rumors has been the Milwaukee Bucks, but one player you won’t see actively involved in any actual talks is Larry Sanders.

Despite there being rumors about interest from other team, the Bucks are reportedly turning away teams offering trades for Sanders, according to Marc Stein from ESPN. It’s not that the Bucks don’t want to trade Sanders, rather Stein report that the team feels they won’t get fair value for him if he’s traded before the deadline.

"Sources briefed on the situation told ESPN.com that teams asking whether the defensive specialist has fallen far enough out of favor with his frustrated bosses to be made available are being turned away."

Sanders has a pretty big contract that seemed as though it would scare teams off, but apparently they’ve been calling. Milwaukee could still get an offer they like, but it’s sounding like Sanders is staying put and guys like Ersan Ilyasova are more likely to go.
