The Minnesota Vikings are set to open a new stadium in 2016 and with a new venue comes new locker room digs.

Today we’ve captured a glimpse of what is to be expected and the initial renderings look a bit like you just walked into a purple themed casino.

We’ve already seen the renderings of what the stadium will look like when it’s completed, but the digital locker room photo is new. Of course, none of us will ever step foot in it outside of either a tour or reporting purpose, but what do you think? Sure – it’s nothing more than a digital creation and it’s subject to change considering it won’t be completed for another two years, but it’s pretty interesting looking. The purple recessed lights are a unique but intriguing touch.

It’s actually in all honesty somewhat basic in regards to some other locker rooms we’ve seen built in recent months/years, though of course this isn’t the final product either.

Plain or not – it’s a whole lot better than what the Vikings were using at the Metrodome.
