The Ultimate Fighter: Nations series is underway and the UFC has been releasing videos of the fights inside the competition. This week, on episode 4, Nordine Taleb of Team Canada takes on Tyler Manawaroa of Team Australia.
Nordine Taleb is a veteran of Bellator and holds an MMA record of 8-2. His most recent fight was at Bellator 74, where he lost to Marius Zaromskis by unanimous decision. Taleb holds a notable victory over former UFC fighter, Pete Sell.
Tyler Manawaroa is 19 years old, and thus is the youngest fighter to ever compete on the Ultimate Fighter. Manawaroa is 10-0, including 9 finishes in his promising young career. At this point, however, Tyler has yet to fight any notable fighter.
The fight between the two men was a back and forth battle for the first two round. At the end of the second round, the judges scored it a draw, and therefore they moved to a decisive third round. In the third round, Tyler was able to get a late mount and nearly locked in the fight ending rear naked choke before the final bell rang. In the end, the judges gave the victory to Tyler Manawaroa by unanimous decision. The win was the first for Team Australia in four fights.
