A school-record six Baylor Bears have been invited to work out for NFL coaches and front office personnel at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Baylor representatives on the offensive side of the ball includes tight end Jordan Najvar, wide receiver Tevin Reese, guard Cyril Richardson and running back Lache Seastrunk. Defenders invited to the Combine include safety Ahmad Dixon and cornerback Demetri Goodson.
Seastrunk ended his Baylor career with 2,189 yards rushing, 18 touchdowns and 91.2 yards per game. In 2013, Seastrunk posted 1,177 yards and 11 scores.
Najvar was a three-year All-Big 12 selection at tight end, playing in 38 games for Baylor. He was also a two-time Mackey Award watch list member.
Reese was a four-year starter and a three-time All-Big 12 honoree. He wrapped up his Baylor career with 187 catches for 3,102 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Richardson was a two-time All-American offensive lineman and a three-year starter at Baylor. He became the Big 12′s only player to win the Offensive Lineman of the Year award twice.
Dixon was a three-year starter for the Bears and was a unanimous All-Big 12 first team selection on defense.
Goodson was an All-Big 12 honorable mention selection in his senior season, after registering 26 tackles, three interceptions and 13 pass breakups.
Baylor’s six invitees are the most of any Big 12 school and are tied for the sixth-most in the country.
