The UFC is taking its first trip to Baltimore this April with a stacked event headlined by the UFC Light Heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira. Over the last several days the UFC has been announcing exciting matchups for the card, and today they added yet another fantastic bout.
Perennial Lightweight contender, Jim Miller, will take on rising prospect, Bobby Green, in a bout that has fireworks written all over it. Dana White tweeted about the fight earlier:
#9 ranked lightweight Jim Miller will face #12 ranked Bobby ‘King’ Green at UFC 172 April 26 in Baltimore.

Both men are ranked in the top 15, and are looking to stand out from the middle of the pack with a statement win in April. Green, the former StrikeForce product, is currently ranked at #12 after going 3-0 in the UFC thus far. In his last bout, Green dominated Pat Healy en route to a unanimous decision victory. Green has blossomed into an excellent must see fighter on the rise. If he could get a win over Miller in April, the sky’s the limit for the talented 27 year old.
Jim Miller, who is currently ranked at #9, is coming off a beautiful submission win over Fabricio Camoes at UFC 168. Miller submitted the third degree black belt after a picture-esque set up for an armbar. Miller will look to build off that win and continue his move back up the Lightweight ladder.
