The Brooklyn Nets weren’t expected to be big players during the NBA’s upcoming trade deadline, mostly because they lacked assets and are stretched financially. But that could change given the near league-wide interest in Bojan Bogdanovic.
The 24-year-old Croatian planned to play for the Nets this season, but was unable to do so given his expensive buyout with his Turkish team.
But that contract is set to end in the near future and according to the Wall Street Journal, 20-30 NBA teams are said to have interest in the budding young star.
“I would say 20 out of 30 teams have interest in him,” a league source said of sharp-shooting forward Bojan Bogdanović, whose rights are currently owned by the Nets.
There’s been no indication that the Nets have had any trade talks involving Bogdanovic or that they’d even be willing to trade him at this point. Though given their current roster, one would assume they’d be open to the idea given their ‘win now’ mentality.
