The career of Oklahoma Sooners’ defensive back/wide receiver Trey Frank took another turn on Friday.
Franks has decided not to return to Oklahoma for his redshirt senior season.
Ryan Aber, Jason Kersey and Trent Shadid of the Oklahoman have the scoop.
Trey Franks was a valuable return man for Oklahoma last season as a redshirt junior but will not be back with the Sooners next season. Franks has graduated from school and chose not to return for his final season of eligibility, OU assistant athletic director for communications Pete Moris said.
Franks missed the entire 2012 season after he, along with wide receivers Jaz Reynolds, Kameel Jackson and safety Quentin Hayes were suspended for a violation of team rules.
Franks was also suspended for two games in the 2011 season.
He returned to the team in 2013 and was moved from defensive back to wide receiver after a 38-30 win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders on October 26.
Franks finished the 2013 season with six tackles.
In his career, Franks had 51 receptions or 459 yards and one touchdown.
