The Beatles special airs tonight on CBS

Exactly fifty years ago today, February 9th, 1964, four young men from Liverpool, England made their United States debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. Tonight the world will get to witness a tribute to one of the greatest Rock and Roll bands of all time on CBS.

The tribute concert was filmed after The Grammy’s in Los Angeles. It will feature artists such as Imagine Dragons, John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Dave Grohl and performances by two of the living legends themselves, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

The event titled ‘The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles’ will air on CBS at 8pm eastern. As a fan of this wonderful band, I’m pretty excited to watch this. I know I’m a little young to remember 50 years ago, but I’ve been listening to this group for as long as I can remember.

My Uncle Michael had myself and the rest of his nieces/nephews and his very own kids listening to The Beatles ever since birth. His kids have Beatles t-shirts, blankets, framed records, shot glasses, almost everything Beatles.

Now here’s a little bit of music to help fellow Beatles fans prepare for tonight’s special.
