United States figure skater Gracie Gold is set to take the ice on Sunday morning for the Team Figure Skating competition as she competes in the ladies free skate portion of the event. Gold, who is fresh off of her win in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, is hoping to live up to her namesake in the individual event and she can get off on the right track with a solid performance in the team event.

Gold hails from Newton, Massachusetts and she is said to be a huge Boston Red Sox fan, so when she is done competing Gold will be happy to see what the Red Sox rolled out for Team USA on the Green Monster Sunday.

The Red Sox tweeted out a good luck wish to Gold and the rest of the Olympic team on their official account, which you can see below:

The United States is currently in bronze medal position, so we will have to see if Gold can keep them in the medal mix when she takes the ice.
