With Spring Training right around the corner, it’s time to take a look at the early favorites to win the 2014 World Series.

According to bovada.lv, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the favorite to win it all this year with odds of 13/2. The Dodgers finished last season with a 92-70 record, good for the fourth best in the National League. In the postseason, the Dodgers lost the NLCS in six games to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Next in line after the Dodgers are the Detroit Tigers and their 17/2 odds. The Tigers finished the 2013 season with a 93-69 mark. They lost to the eventual World Series champion Boston Red Sox in the ALCS in six games.

After a winning yet disappointing season last year, the New York Yankees are expected to make it back to the postseason this year. The Yankees finished the 2013 season with an 85-77 record, but missed the playoffs in the highly competitive American League. Bovada currently has the Yankees at 10-1 to win the World Series in 2014.

Beyond the Yankees, Bovada has three teams with a 12-1 shot at winning their last game of the season. The list includes the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals, who met in the series last year. The Washington Nationals are the other team listed at 12-1.
