The NBA has announced that Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Kevin Love will enter the three-point shooting contest during the NBA All-Star weekend festivities.

The NBA tonight announced that Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love, recently selected by the fans to make his third All-Star game appearance and first career All-Star start, will represent the Wolves in the 2014 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest. Love, who won the contest in 2012, will look to reclaim his title after not participating in last year’s event. The Foot Locker Three-Point Contest is part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night (7:00 p.m. CST on TNT).

It is interesting that he was selected to participate. Love has made a career high 107 three pointers this season, a mark ranked 14th best in the league, however his 36.8 percent three-point shooting ranks 74th in the league. He has also taken 291 three-point shots this season, a mark that is ninth highest in the league.
