There are a few events remaining on Day 2 of the 2014 Winter Olympics, but there were also a few medals handed out in the wee hours of the morning and other interesting tidbits to surface while you may have been sleeping.

If you missed those, we have you covered.

Here are some of the highlights and results from the early events:

Women’s snowboard slopestyle final: Jamie Anderson completed the gold medal sweep for the United States, following an improbably win by Sage Kotsenberg in the men’s final on Saturday. The pair has picked up the lone gold medals for the U.S. so far. Also during the event, Czech Republic snowboarder Sarka Pancochova had a scary crash and split her helmet.

Men’s skiathlon 15km classic + 15km free: After being out for nearly a year since his world championship with a torn ligament in his ankle, Dario Cologna was able to complete a perfect comeback story to claim gold for Switzerland.

Women’s hockey: Sweden was able to narrowly edge Japan.
