The UFC is currently running the Ultimate Fighter Nations: Team Canada vs Team Australia on Fox Sports 1. In this past week’s episode, Middleweight contender Tyler Manawaroa of Team Australia advanced to the semifinals by defeating Nordine Taleb by unanimous decision. Today, Manawaroa is at the center of controversy due to a racist picture he posted 18 months ago.

Earlier today, Team Canada Welterweight Kajan Johnson tweeted out the picture that Manawaroa posted before competing on to TUF Nations:

Johnson tweeted the picture to his coach, Patrick Cote, who responded with this:

Manawaroa posted the picture 18 months ago, but someone apparently sent the picture to Johnson last night, prompting him to send it to Cote. Manawaroa is 19 years old, and is the youngest fighter to ever compete on the Ultimate Fighter. Apparently, Johnson does not care how young Manawaroa is:

Obviously with the show still airing, it is impossible to know where Manawaroa finished, but if he has made it to the final, the UFC will certainly have a problem on their hands. It will be interesting to see how the UFC reacts considered Manawaroa’s age, when he posted the picture, and where he finished in the show.
