Twitter reacts to Michael Sam announcing he’s gay

On Sunday night, former co-SEC Defensive Player of the Year and NFL Draft prospect Michael Sam made the announcement to the world. It was a ground-breaking announcement that would make Sam the first openly gay athlete in the NFL if he is drafted.

Sam is currently projected to be a mid-round pick, and we can all hope his decision to announce who he is does not have a negative impact on his draft stock.

As soon as Sam made his announcement, the support began to pour his way on social media as people applauded his courage and bravery to share the world his story.
