Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema has suspended star running back Alex Collins for one week.
Bielema, who announced the suspension during a press conference on Monday, didn’t specify what prompted Collins’ suspension:
Alex will be out this week, see how he handles this week and get ourselves moving forward. You’ll probably see that he is not going to be as active on Twitter and everything else as well. He’s been removed from all social media until further notice. He’s a tremendous young man that has to step up in certain areas to get where we want to be and I think he’ll do that (Whole Hog Sports).
Collins, who was named the SEC Freshman of the Year by the Associated Press, is the fourth player Bielema has suspended this off-season. Korliss Marshall, Bubba Crouch, and Nathan Williamson were all suspended last week but have already rejoined the team.
