CBS’ draft board drops Michael Sam 70 spots overnight

Missouri Tigers defensive end Michael Sam came out of the closet ahead of the 2014 NFL draft setting the table for him to become the first openly gay NFL player. A Sports Illustrated report revealed that several NFL front office members said it could affect his draft stock.
"“I just know with this going on this is going to drop him down,” said a veteran NFL scout. “There’s no question about it. It’s human nature. Do you want to be the team to quote-unquote ‘break that barrier?'”“That will break a tie against that player,” the former general manager said."
Bleacher Report NFL Draft columnist Curt Popejoy discovered the CBS draft board had already dropped him considerably. Last night, he is clearly ranked 90th overall and the ninth best defensive end.
Then this morning he was ranked 160th overall and the 14th best defensive end.
