Johnny Manziel won’t throw at Ags pro day march 5. He will throw on March 27 at A&M.

Texas A&M will hold its Pro Day on March 5th, but according to John McClain, venerable writer of the Houston Chronicle, Johnny Manziel will hold his own on March 27th. This is not a unique move and was a largely expected one. Plenty of quarterbacks have and will hold their own pro days.
In some respects, it allows Manziel’s teammates to get their own spotlight on the Aggies pro day. Mike Evans and Jake Matthews, both potential first round picks will have their day and not be completely overshadowed by the presence of Manziel. Meanwhile, Manziel has an extra couple weeks to work and put together his throwing program in an effort to impress scouts.
For Manziel, he will certainly do some throws on the run, but his goal will be to display good mechanics throughout and maintain his zip and arm strength on the ball when he goes outside. Manziel has a strong trunk which allows him to get a good amount of torque when he throws the football, so he should be able to put on an impressive display. Additionally, when Manziel has his feet under him and transitions his weight properly, he can show some great arm strength and accuracy.
