The Cleveland Cavaliers are a disaster right now to say the least. Yes, they’ve planned relatively well since firing former general manager Chris Grant, but the collection of talent amassed simply isn’t going to work.
Knowing this, the Cavs have all but suggested they will be players come the NBA’s trade deadline, but they will not be entertaining offers for Kyrie Irving. That’s the word from Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders who (responding to a fans question) says the Cavaliers aren’t remotely interested in any deal involving the former Duke star.
If CLE decides to deal Kyrie, —> not anything they are remotely interested in considering.
While Cleveland has plenty of problems, Irving isn’t one of them – despite his desire to sometimes pound the air out of the ball.
There simply isn’t anything out there which would make the Cavaliers better in the short term or long term that would involve Irving.
