Looks like Jerry Rice and the NFL are up to some shenanigans this morning as the Hall of Fame wide receiver suggested the Houston Texans draft Jerry Ricecake with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

As you’ll recall, the NFL used Deion Sanders in a similar role last season where Sanders dressed up as alter ego ‘Larry Sandcastle’. Sandcastle was of course drafted first overall by the Kansas City Chiefs in the commercials used to promote the NFL and it’s draft.
The Shield apparently had such success with it, they’re going to give it a second go-around as the former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver appeared as ‘Jerry Ricecake’ during a Super Bowl commercial and the league is seemingly running with the created character.
If you missed the Super Bowl commercial, you can watch it below:
The league is certainly getting their money’s worth out of Deion and Jerry, considering both not only starred in NFL Draft commercials but also coached the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl this year.
Hopefully Mr. Ricecake makes an appearance on draft day.
