Sochi Olympics, men’s short track 1500m finals results: Charles Hamelin wins gold for Canada

The 2014 Winter Olympics men’s short track 1500m is in the books, but it wasn’t without some drama.

In Final B, Korea’s Park Se Young made a daring move to take the inside track for the lead, but he was tripped up and wiped out as he took Sjinkie Knegt of the Netherlands, who was leading most of the race, out with him. The two men finished in last place of their final.

In Final A, it was Canada’s Charles Hamelin that brought home the gold for his country, with Tianyu Han of China finishing in second. The bronze medal went to Victor An of host nation Russia.
