Former Minnesota Vikings punter and gay rights activist Chris Kluwe was on The Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday morning to talk about the announcement from former Missouri Tigers defensive end Michael Sam who came out as a proud gay man on Sunday evening.

When asked which teams would be the best fit for Sam, Kluwe offered up two destinations who would be good fits for the reigning SEC co-defensive player of the year.

"“I think the Patriots would probably be a good choice, just because they have a media embargo, basically, where Belichick doesn’t let anything in or out that he doesn’t want to.”“I think the Packers would be a good choice,” Kluwe said in appearing on The Dan Patrick Show, “because, yeah, it’s Wisconsin. It’s middle America. But the Packers, their fans love their team. And it doesn’t matter to them who you are. If you can play football, they are going to support you.”"

Sam is projected as a third-fifth round draft pick and is expected to be a full participant at this month’s NFL combine.
