Houston Texans’ J.J. Watt flashes his sick hockey skills on Instagram (Video)

Is there anything that Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt can’t do? We know he was a former tight end in college before changing positions with the Wisconsin Badgers and turning into one of the top defensive linemen who would capture the 2012 Defensive Player of the Year Award after a 20.5 sack season.

Now we see Watt showing off his skills on the ice and he’s got pretty good puck-handling abilities courtesy of this video Watt posted on his Instagram account. Watt had the appropriate caption, “Just in case Patrick Kane calls from Sochi…”

Could you imagine Watt playing on the blue line for an NHL team at 6-6, 290-pounds and his ability to skate? I don’t think there will be many wanting to drop the gloves with him.

Watt grew up playing hockey in Wisconsin and even referred to the sport as his first love in an interview with SI.com’s Peter King last year. “I grew up in Wisconsin loving hockey. I mean, I started when I was three years old on skates. I played all over—in Canada all the time, all over the U.S., over in Germany for a 10-day tournament. Hockey, honestly, was my first love. The excitement, the fast pace, the intensity of the game … I still love it to this day.”
