When it rains it pours and for the Cleveland Cavaliers, it must feel like a bit of a downpour.
The recently acquired Luol Deng has expressed frustration with the Cavaliers organization and some reports have hinted that he doesn’t plan to re-sign with the team once his contract expires at season end. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s possible the Cavs might not be getting everything they expected to receive when they acquired Deng as the small forward says he’s still having problems with his Achilles’ tendon.
Deng, who has dealt with the injury for quite some time is hoping the All-Star break will give him a bit of time to recover.
Deng is longing for the All-Star break, which starts Thursday, to help with his Achilles.
“The All-Star break will be huge for me,” he said. “I’ll be able to give it some rest. I’m hoping to get back to 100 percent or close to it.”
The Cavs will have a near week break between games, so hopefully the extra down time will get the small forward in a bit better shape.
