The Sacramento Kings have made a few key trades this season, though, they haven’t exactly paid off in the win column. Of course, that’s not all Sacramento’s fault considering they’ve played one of the most difficult schedules in the league and they’ve been without stars DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay for multiple games in recent weeks.

Despite that, the Kings (a few weeks back) were reportedly open to the idea of trading their first round draft pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, but with the losses beginning to pile up, it appears they’ve decided to hang on to the selection unless they’re given a trade they can’t refuse.

The Kings would prefer not to part with draft picks in deals, would only take on salary beyond next this season in right situation.

Both the Kings and the Suns were said to be open to the idea of trading draft picks, but with the Kings now reportedly out, that should only increase the asking price for the Suns.
