Sochi Olympics: ladies cross country sprint results: Norway takes gold, silver

The ladies cross country sprint took place on Tuesday morning, with qualifications, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals all within a few hours at the 2014 Winter Olympics. When it was all said and done, Norway came out on top.

Norway brought home gold thanks to Maiken Caspersen Falla’s strong run, while fellow countrywoman Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg captured the silver. Vesna Fabjan was able to secure bronze for Slovenia.

American Sophie Caldwell, who was looking strong throughout the morning, finished in sixth after being tripped up earlier in the final.
