Following an epic men’s cross country sprint final, Norway’s Ola Vigen Hattestad can finally call himself an Olympic champion. With the win from Vigen Hattestad, Norway was able to complete the gold medal sweep in the 2014 Winter Olympics cross country sprint events.

In second place was Sweden’s Teodor Peterson for silver, with Peterson’s countryman Emil Jönsson finishing in third-place for the bronze by nearly twenty seconds after a wild crash at the top of the hill took out half of the competitors in the race.

Norway now holds the overall medal count lead with 10 medals in the Sochi Games.
