Sochi Olympics, women's ski jumping results: Carina Vogt wins first ever women's ski jumping gold


History has been made. After the first women’s normal hill ski jumping competition in Winter Olympics history, Germany’s Carina Vogt has taken home the gold medal. After her final jump, Vogt was so overcome with joy that she broke down in tears. It was an incredible moment for the Sochi Games.

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz of Austria finished with the silver, while Coline Mattel of France earned the bronze.
