Texans hire two, promote one

The Houston Texans have added two staff members to its football operations staff and promoted another.

Houston recently announced the hiring of Brian Gaine as their director of pro personnel and Daron Roberts as a new pro scout.

Gaine spent the last six seasons with the Miami Dolphins. During the last two seasons, he was the team’s assistant general manager.  Over the course of his 15 season in the NFL, Gaine has spent time as the assistant director of pro scouting  for the Dallas Cowboys and as the assistant director of pro scouting for the New York Jets.

Roberts spent last season with the Cleveland Browns as the defensive quality control coach.  In his career, Roberts has served as wide receivers and cornerbacks coach at West Virginia University, assistant secondary coach with the Detroit Lions and defensive quality control assistant with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Texans also announced  the promotion of Larry Wright to assistant director of pro personnel

Wright has been a pro scout for the Texans for the last four seasons. Prior to joining the Texans, Wright working as a pro scout with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
