The Duke and North Carolina rivalry is arguably the most storied in all of sports, let alone college basketball. The two sides play Wednesday night at Chapel Hill, and before the game there was a time-honored tradition that had to be taken care of first. The Duke and North Carolina managers played a game on the basketball court, only things weren’t as civil as you might have expected.
From the Duke Chronicle:
The first half of play came to a contentious close when a North Carolina manager grabbed a rebound and Duke freshman Drew Goldstein made a play for the ball. In creating space, the Tar Heel swung his elbows, knocking Goldstein to the floor. Play resumed shortly after the teams converged for a tense moment
There is a very blurry video of the incident, and how it was blurry I don’t know. At least it isn’t the vertical video.
