The Dallas Mavericks feel that they are very close to competing for a title in 2014 and their roster has definitely looked the part a few times over this season. One such player is Monta Ellis, as the former Milwaukee Bucks guard has been showing flashes that make Mavs fans dismiss the idea of trading him.

Ellis had one of the brilliant plays on Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors — his old team. Ellis made a clean steal and took the ball the other way, finishing with a decent slam.

The Mavericks may not be title favorites in 2014, but they definitely look the part of a team that can make a deep run and do their best at upsetting a few people along the way.
