The Denver Nuggets aren’t expected to have a busy trade deadline, this according to the Denver Post. Of course, a quiet deadline doesn’t mean there won’t be any trades – just that there won’t be any franchise altering moves made.
One player expected to be traded is banished point guard Andre Miller, who has yet to play in a game since December 30th after he and head coach Brian Shaw got into a verbal spat. The Sacramento Kings and Minnesota Timberwolves are said to have heavy interest in Miller (especially the Kings), though neither team has many players available who’d match up with Miller’s salary.
Outside of a Miller move, it doesn’t appear much will be going down for the Nuggets.
The Nuggets aren’t likely to be overly active at the trade deadline anyway, beyond the expected dealing of disgruntled point guard Andre Miller. Injuries — and Miller’s absence — have pared the Nuggets roster down to 10 active players, but they hope to get the services on injured guard Ty Lawson back soon after the All-Star break, as well as any individual brought over in a deal.
