Depending on who you ask, the Toronto Raptors are either shopping point guard Kyle Lowry or are content with keeping him for a playoff run.
So what does Chad Ford of ESPN think? It appears the Worldwide Leader scribe feels the Raptors will move Lowry as he reports they’ve been aggressive in attempts to trade their starting point guard.
Ford, holding his weekly chat, was asked by a fan if he felt Lowry would remain with the Raptors past the deadline. He suggested he’d be shocked if that happened.
I’d be surprised. They’ve been aggressive looking for the right deal for him.
With Lowry unlikely to re-sign next season, the Raptors certainly don’t want to let him walk for free. Yes, there’s always the option to sign and trade him, but that takes the cooperation of thew new team and player.
Ford doesn’t speculate on any deal or what players the Raptors could be coveting, but does believe he will be moved by the NBA’s trade deadline.
