Earlier today, Chad Ford of ESPN hinted that he would be shocked if Kyle Lowry was still on the Toronto Raptors after the NBA’s upcoming trade deadline.

But according to Yahoo Sports, it seems more and more likely that the Raptors will keep Lowry as they hope to make an extended playoff run.

Toronto has shown significant reluctance to part with Kyle Lowry, preferring to make a playoff run with him, league sources tell Yahoo.

Of course, this could all be smoke and mirrors.

Toronto certainly doesn’t want teams thinking they’re open to moving Lowry as that’s only going to reduce his price tag. On the flip side, moving Lowry will understandably hurt the Raptors playoff chances – but at the same time keeping him likely means they’ll recieve no compensation if he leaves in free agency (barring a sign and trade).

The news on Lowry continues to go back and forth – which should make for an interesting trade deadline. But if you believe Wojo, he looks like he’ll be staying with the Raptors.
