NBA Trade Deadline: Brooklyn Nets unlikely to make any trades
By Josh Hill
The NBA trade deadline is approaching rapidly which means teams are trying to hammer out strategies that will make them contenders in the second half of the season. One such team are the Brooklyn Nets but it’s starting to sound like they may end up having a quiet deadline rather than one that sees them move a major piece to secure a second half run.
Brooklyn sits just three games behind the Toronto Raptors for the Atlantic Division lead, but they’re skating on thin ice. At 23-26, many believe the team should give up and trade away key players for picks but that doesn’t appear like it will be the case.
There was chatter that the Nets might consider moving Brook Lopez before the deadline or maybe even Paul Pierce, but the team thinks it can win with what it has and is going to take this current roster into the second half of the season.
