NBA Trade Rumors: Celtics want to build around Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger

Although the NBA’s trade deadline is still a week away, it seems like we might have some understanding as to what the Boston Celtics are doing come one of the most vital days of the NBA season.

That’s the word according to Bleacher Report’s Jared Zwerling who says not only are the Celtics unlikely to trade Jeff Green, but that they want to build around him, Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger.

Hearing the Celtics are not likely to trade Jeff Green, with the mindset they want to build around him, Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger.

While both Sullinger and Jeff Green are solid players, they simply are the type of talents you build around. It’s questionable if Rondo is even that guy, but he’s much more idealistic in that role than Sullinger.

It could be a matter of general manager Danny Ainge overvaluing his players, but that’s not exactly a fearsome trio – even at their peak.

Regardless, if the Celtics are content building around those players, none of them will be moved in the coming days.

Total b.s. They are shopping Green aggressively. They know he can’t be consistent.

there is a big youth movement that will be on the C’s bench. Stevens does a great job teaching players their personal skills.

Time to dump Rondo. The staring, glaring loner is incapable of building a team on the floor. For different reasons altogether, the Bulls are without Rose and look how Thibs has built a team without him. The C’s need to bite the bullet, get rid of Rondo and rebuild their team. They could do it in by the end of 2015 if they act now but by clutching at has-been Rondo, they’ll go nowhere. If you can’t see the handwriting on the wall, you’ve already lost.

For me just wait till rondo back his health to 100%.. and trade jeff green to the player that can score consistently like Gordon Hayward.. If your PG is Rondo, you need a SG or SF than can score or a catch and shoot player or a C or PF That Can jump for Alley-oop like Deandre Jordan, Blake Griffin or Chris Wilcox.. Rondo is a passer not a real scorer but he can score with a lay up and a little bit mid range shot
