The New York Knicks are trying to turn their terrible season around after it started with more turmoil and chaos than anyone expected. Besides the drama with J.R. Smith and the questions about Carmelo Anthony’s future, the team has been struggling with what to do with head coach Mike Woodson.

Woodson has an idea of what the team should do with him — involve him in trade discussions. The Knicks coach spoke on ESPN 98.7FM in New York and stated that if trades are going to go down, he’d like to think he’d be involved.

"“I would like to think that if something goes down, I’m sure they will include me…It’s been that way since I’ve been here and I don’t see that changing. We just have to let it play out and see what happens”"

The trade deadline is after the All-Star game, which is the projected date when the Knicks may fire Woodson and replace him as head coach. That would be a scenario where he’s not involved with trade talks, but if he’s still the coach and not involved, that says a lot about how much power he has within the organization.
