It appears we may finally have a concrete conclusion on the Kyle Lowry trade news.
Earlier today, it was reported by Chad Ford of ESPN that the Raptors were being ‘aggressive’ in attempts to trade their point guard, but hours later Yahoo Sports reported Toronto was leaning towards keeping Lowry for a potential playoff push.
Now according to Yahoo yet again, a rival executive looking to acquire Lowry has been told by the Raptors that he will not be traded
Adds an executive with a team that’s been a suitor of Kyle Lowry, “We’ve heard it from (Toronto) that he won’t be moved.”
It’s certainly an odd stance given Lowry’s pending free agency and the fact that has been in such demand, but it’s possible the Raptors aren’t getting what they want for him. It’s also possible Toronto could be feeling their team enough and they think they can have an extended playoff run.
Regardless, it seems as if Lowry will be sticking with the Raptors barring a last second change of heart.
