Need for Speed: New Featurette Gives Us a Look Inside (Video)

We are just over one month away from the release of the fast-paced thrill ride known as Need for Speed. On February 3rd, we showed you an extended look at the film. Now, the good people at Dreamworks have given us a new featurette that takes a look beyond the fast cars and takes a closer look at those guys who are behind the wheel.

Just in case you are not familiar with the premise of the film, which is based off of the widely popular video game franchise from Electronic Arts, here is the official synopsis for Need for Speed courtesy of IMDb.com.

Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins.”

Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul plays a man by the name of Tobey Marshall, the street racer that the synopsis references. As you can imagine, being sent to prison for a crime you didn’t commit can really do things to a guy. When he is released from prison, Marshall makes it his personal mission to make the man who framed him pay for his actions.

Unfortunately, in these types of situations, there is always collateral damage. What happens when one of those people is someone you love?

Here is a look at the new featurette for the upcoming film Need for Speed.

In addition to Aaron Paul, the film stars Fifty Shades of Grey’s Dakota Johnson, along with Imogen Poots and RoboCop’s Michael KeatonNeed for Speed also stars Domenic Cooper, who will soon be appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Scott Mescudi, who the music world will know as Kid Cudi.

Need for Speed is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 14, 2014.
