North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team gives disabled fan a day to remember (Video)

Tonight, the North Carolina Tar Heels will take the floor for the first of their two annual meetings with the rival Duke Blue Devils. This is a game in which entire lives of the players are consumed, as their full attention is directed toward not letting the fan base down and avoiding a letdown in one of the most anticipated games of the year annually.

But, that doesn’t mean that they have to lose their perspective on life, something that the North Carolina basketball team showed recently as they gave on big North Carolina fan a day that he’ll never forget.

Marcus Paige, Leslie McDonald and the rest of the North Carolina basketball team gave a 12-year-old fan named Anthony a complete inside look at the program. Unfortunately, at such a young age, Anthony suffers from Emery Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy, so his bad days are probably more the norm than his good days are, but kudos to the basketball team for making sure that this day was nothing but good.

Nice gesture by a thoughtful group of young men, as it looks as if Anthony thoroughly enjoyed everything.
