Penguins Dub Pascal Dupuis Surgery a Success

A month in a half after suffering a torn ACL against the Ottawa Senators on December 23, Pascal Dupuis underwent successful surgery to repair the injury today.

Pittsburgh Penguins executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero made the announcement Wednesday evening via the team’s official website.

Dupuis suffered his injury after being clipped by teammate Sidney Crosby in front of the Ottawa net. Crosby was hit by Senators defenseman Marc Methot which led to his leg getting up high, and taking out Dupuis from the side.

Dupuis, who has seven goals and 13 assists in 39 games this season for Pittsburgh, is expected to miss the remainder of the season and playoffs due to the injury. He is expected to return in time for the start of the 2014-2015 season.
