For animal lovers, it’s been heartbreaking to watch or read Olympic coverage in Sochi given all the stray dogs and puppies in the area.

Thankfully, a Russian billionaire stepped up to save thousands of dogs from death by setting up a temporary kennel – but there are still stray dogs and puppies on the Sochi grounds.

United States Olympian Gus Kenworthy found one on Tuesday, but where there’s one there are plenty more to follow. Before he knew it, the skier was initiated by puppies and he seemed to love.

Here we have Kenworthy hanging out with one lonely puppy:

And then here come the masses:

There was no word if Kenworthy had any plans to adopt any of the stray puppies, but multiple Olympians are said to be in the process of doing so. Hopefully Kenworthy just won’t be able to give up on those adorable faces.

You too could help give one of the cute furry friends a home as USA Today pointed how Americans can go about the adoption process.
