You either love or hate Chicago White Sox announce Hawk Harrelson.

The long time broadcaster is known for his over-the-top homerism but doesn’t mind laying down the law on his own team when its needed. Case in point? Harrelson ripping the 2013 club in a recent interview, suggesting it was a nightmare to watch.

“That was the worst performing team I have ever seen that I have been associated with as a player and as an announcer. The fans saw the same thing that you and I saw every day,” he said. “It was the worst season I ever experienced. It was just a nightmare. That’s what it was — just a nightmare.”

That was only the tip of the iceberg for Harrelson though who went on an expletive filled rant suggesting that he wanted baseball players on the White Sox, not ‘the best player’ or ‘athletes’ like so many general managers find themselves enamored with.

For what it’s worth, Harrelson praised Rick Hahn and believes the 2014 will be a complete turnaround.

I bet you’re shocked as I am.
