Nolan Ryan talks about his new Astros job

The Houston Astros have added Nolan Ryan to their front office. He is officially working as an Executive Advisor, while he worked as CEO of the Texas Rangers.

“I’m going to be doing whatever they feel like I can contribute to the organization,” Ryan said on ESPN Radio in Dallas, via the Dallas Morning News. “So it could be involved in some aspects of baseball, it could be involved in some aspects of the business side of it, so it’s really going to develop and we’re just going to see like what they needs are for me.”

“I won’t have the responsibility that I had with the Rangers and I won’t be in an office like I was with the Rangers on a daily basis so it’s going to be different and I’m attracted to that because I won’t have the same time commitment and I’ll have the flexibility to kind of move around and do some things.”
