Daniel Cormier and Patrick Cummins heated exchange on Fox Sports Live

UFC 170 got a major facelift yesterday when the UFC announced they had signed 4-0 prospect, Patrick Cummins, on nine days notice to take on Daniel Cormier in the co-main event of the evening.

The event has been littered with injuries, completely destroying a great card that the UFC had put together. With news that Rashad Evans was injured and forced out of his co-main event bout against Daniel Cormier, it seemed that UFC 170 was doomed for failure.

The UFC pulled a rabbit out of it’s hat by signing Cormier’s former wrestling training partner, Patrick Cummins. If you have not heard yet, Cummins was literally working as a barista yesterday, and now he will be fighting in a co-main event of a pay per view UFC event.

Cummins made wild accusations yesterday saying that he regularly beat Cormier in practice and once made him cry. Cormier refuted Cummins statements, saying that he can not wait to destroy him in front of thousands of viewers next Saturday night.

The UFC and Fox Sports Live joined together last night to get Patrick Cummins and Daniel Cormier on air together. What ensued was a wild and heated back and forth between the two competitors. If you have not seen it, check out the video above. A fight that sparked no interest yesterday, now has a decent amount of steam behind it going into next weekend.
