With pitchers and catchers reporting at the end of the week and Spring Training just around the corner, we’ll continue our 2014 fantasy baseball preview here at  Today, we continue our focus on 2B by looking at the National League.  Earlier this week we focused on all the 2B in the American League. In fantasy baseball drafts, second base is always one of the  trickier positions since there is a big disparity between the elite options that go early and the rest of the regular starters at the position.

Many owners are left looking for value in the later rounds at the position, but the good news is that there are some players who can be had late in drafts that can contribute in at least a category or two.  The key is knowing your team need and drafting to fill in any categories in which you may be weaker.

As we have for each of the positions we’ve highlights, we’ll look at who played second base for each team last season, who is projected to play the position this season, and what fantasy value each team’s option presents.
