The Nationals have added more bullpen depth with a minor-league signing.

Josh Roenicke has been added to the roster and will compete for a bullpen job in Spring Training. Roenicke is not only the nephew of Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke, but also the brother-in-law of Nationals’ shortstop Ian Desmond.

Roenicke, 31, pitched out of the pen for the Minnesota Twins last year, posting an average 4.35 ERA in 62 innings over 63 games.
