The Memphis Grizzlies and center Marc Gasol can breathe a sigh of relief today as his MRI came back clean on Friday afternoon.

Gasol, who missed a significant portion of the season thanks to a leg injury was worried he may have aggravated it recently.

The big man has not looked the same since he returned and still admits that he has pain, though, it is getting better. Thankfully no further damage was done and Gasol can rest easy.

MRI scan on Griz center Marc Gasol’s left knee was ‘clean’ and revealed no structural damage, per source. Team doctors will weigh in Monday

That said, it’s not known when Gasol will be ready to play again. As mentioned above, doctors will meet again after the All-Star break to discuss Gasol’s injury and his probability to play. It’s very possible he could miss some time coming out of the break, though, that will be determined at a later date.

What we do know is that whatever time he does miss (if any), it won’t be extended as feared.
