Suk-Min Yoon needs visa before playing for Orioles

This time, it’s not a physical getting in the way of a player joining the Orioles.

Suk-Min Yoon, who was in Florida today to take his physical and make his contract official, has one more hurdle to jump before being added to the main roster.

Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports says that the most recent Oriole acquisition needs his work visa before being able to work out with the team. He also can’t be announced as being signed yet.

Yoon agreed to a three-year, $5.575 million deal with the Orioles on Wednesday, with a potential to max the contract out at $13.075 million.
